We are looking for a leader who has a clear, personal calling to Middlesbrough Community Church (MCC) and the local area; strong in vision-casting and thinking strategically, frequently seeking God, leading with faith and Godly inspiration, moving forward together with other committed leaders and church members.
We are seeking someone who thinks and acts with care and compassion, ready to build the Core Leadership Team and nurture, enable and release ministry in the church family. They will be ambassadors for MCC and think missionally about God’s world.
Leadership Role
- To embody our vision of Loving God and Loving People
- To lead with faith, love and Godly inspiration
- To spend a significant amount of time seeking God through prayer, reading, study etc., for the benefit of MCC
- To think strategically and work with the Core Leadership Team in setting God’s vision, mission and values for MCC, and communicating this to the church family to inspire and motivate them to action
- To lead the Core Leadership Team meetings
- To build, guide and develop the Core Leadership Team and leadership across MCC, fostering a culture of spiritual formation and accountability
- To work with ministry leaders to enable and release the Ephesians 4 ministries across the MCC family, recognising gifting and empowering, developing and releasing individuals into their God-given potential.
Operational Duties
- To input into planning the teaching series and long-term church calendar
- Ensuring that MCC remains theologically robust
- To speak or lead regularly at MCC services (around 2-3 times a month).
Representation and Networking
- To be an ambassador for MCC, working with Taking Ground and other churches and organisations in the Tees Valley, to seek unity amongst the local church and pursue God’s calling for the region.
