We are looking for someone who is passionate to use their Christian faith to free children from material, relational, and spiritual poverty. We want to use the financial resources God gives us to see God’s Kingdom of justice, peace, and hope made a reality in the parts of our world that need it most.
For this to happen, we need someone to coordinate our grant giving and philanthropy. Working as part of our Global Partnerships team, you will be responsible for a six-figure budget, resourcing and praying for our friends around the world who are bringing the hope and wholeness of Jesus to families in need. You will follow this up by ensuring the funds we distribute are being used with integrity, efficiency, and purpose to help bring life in all its fullness to people.
1. Enable the distribution of grants to Müllers partners
• Deliver and develop Müllers’ processes for receiving grant proposals for our various unrestricted funds, including Orphans of the World and the Next Gen Ministry Fund.
• Work with the Global Partnerships Lead to propose funding allocations for our unrestricted funds to the Global Partnerships Committee (GPC) or Local Ministries Committee (LMC).
• Develop our processes which ensure partners using our Donation Administration Service plan to use these funds for their intended purposes.
• To enable the distribution of the contingency fund.
• Be part of the team setting up the monthly distribution of grants.
2. To monitor the impact of Müllers ministry delivery (The Scriptural Knowledge Institute)
• Develop and deliver Müllers’ system for local and international grant reporting, ensuring funds have been spent appropriately and obtaining quantitative and qualitative data on each partners’ work.
• Annually producing a report for the GPC on the impact of each fund, including stories and statistics on the previous year.
• Work with the Comms Lead to share stories and statistics from partners with our supporters through Müllers’ annual report, email campaigns and social media (etc).
• To review the suitability of all partners quarterly, ensuring conditions of partnership are met, and flagging changes in status.
• To work with the wider GP Team to both induct new partnerships and cease ending ones.
• Monitor communications from partners alongside the wider GP Team and respond appropriately
• Raise any safeguarding concerns through the appropriate channels as per Müllers’ policy
• To work with the Charity Leader to develop an impact monitoring system for the Bristol “Every child, Every year” initiative.
3. Play an active role in the Global Partnerships Department and wider Müllers Team
• To lead team prayers approximately once a fortnight.
• To assist in welcoming visitors to the George Müller Museum
• To contribute to the fundraising efforts of the charity, namely through prayer for financial provision
• Undertake any other duties as may be requested by the leadership of the charity and the Global Partnerships Lead as may be commensurate with the responsibilities of the post.
• To work with the key values, ethos, equal opportunities, and other policies of The George Müller Charitable Trust. We depend on God’s provision, through answered prayer, therefore there is a genuine occupational requirement to be a Christian. (See our statement of faith here).
