Working closely alongside Wilson Weaver, the other full-time member of the Youth and Kids Team, you will shape discipleship and evangelism across the next generation.
The role will suit someone who has experience of either youth or children’s ministry in an evangelical church context. The precise split between youth and children’s responsibilities will be shaped according to the gifts and experience of the successful candidate.
Ongoing training and development support will be available and tailored to individual need.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear, gospel-centred vision for Youth & Children’s Ministry in collaboration with the current youth minister
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate Bible teaching
- Disciple children and young people relationally and pastorally
- Recruit, train and pastor volunteer leaders
- Ensure safeguarding compliance and best practice
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Support schools work including assemblies and visits
- Lead or oversee holiday clubs, youth weekends away, camps and outreach events
- Manage rotas, budgets, resources and communications
- Maintain ministry-related website, database and social media
There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a committed Christian. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check including the barred list due to regular contact with children.
