Hope Church, Dawlish is an independent evangelical church situated on the coast in South Devon. We have an average weekly attendance of 100-120 people who meet in the new purpose built Hope Centre.
Our vision is to see 'more people more like Jesus in more places'.
We are looking to recruit an Intergenerational Worker to join our staff team who will lead and develop ministry for ages 0–20s, focusing on engaging families and building continuity across age groups. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have specialist skills with some age groups but will build the teams that will provide the breadth of this ministry. The candidate will be expected to be a role model for the teams showing spiritual leadership, lifestyle, living above reproach and able to offer mentoring and teaching from a strong bible knowledge background.
Responsibilities include strategic planning, team building, outreach to non-church families, and leading “All Age” activities. The role involves mentoring, spiritual leadership, and collaboration with existing church teams and community workers. Strong communication, safeguarding, and leadership skills are essential. The position is permanent, based at Hope Church, with flexible hours and a salary of £28,000–£32,000 (full-time equivalent). Applicants should have a mature Christian faith, experience with youth or children, and the ability to recruit and develop volunteer teams.
