On the Road
What could be better than going on a conference spree on the back of a gloomy global pandemic that has compelled us to cut off our everyday social interactions? Nothing! So we did just that!
Within the short space of a month, we have gone to three separate conferences: Spring Harvest, Assemblies of God National Conference and Elim Leaders Summit.
Through these conferences, we were able to reconnect with individuals we have not been able to see in the past two years, as well as making new connections with people we've never seen before and new Christians who have come to faith over the past 2 years!
Real People - Face to Face!
In fact, I think the feelings were mutual. Many have expressed how difficult it has been without warm connections with other people. And, on the other hand, how incredible it has been since being able to reconnect with old friends and make new friends alike.
I remember one of the very first conversations I had was with an individual who was feeling a bit directionless. He had lost his job during the pandemic and did not know where he wanted to be next. What a privilege it was to be able to hear him out and to pray with him. And what a privilege it was to be able to see his countenance change immediately after. If you are reading this, know that I am praying for you.
Other memorable conversations were with other exhibitors from other Christian organisations such as OMF (https://omf.org/web/uk). It is an honour to hear their hearts for God and for Asia and offer our services to find the right individuals to be part of their team.
As a new team member, these interactions have reinforced the mission of Christian Jobs in me. We are here to encourage. We are here to be a blessing. We are here to connect individuals to the right parts of the body so that individuals may be in the best positions to fulfil the purposes God has for them. We are here to serve organisations by connecting the right individuals to them so that they may become more effective in glorifying God by fulfilling their missions.
