About the role

We are looking to recruit a Children & Families Worker to provide leadership, development, strategic oversight and vision for the church’s ministry and mission to families and children under the age of 11.

The person appointed will have significant experience of working with children and families. This could be as a Christian children’s worker or another similar setting such as the education sector. They will have an understanding of how children grow in faith, the importance of relationships with families and have the ability to develop a great team of volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: To strategically oversee the church's ministry and mission to children and families.
• Leading Regular Activities: To actively lead engaging activities for children.
• Special Events: To develop and deliver exciting, high quality events that bring families together and build relationships.
• Ministry to Families: To build relationships with parents / carers; equipping them for their role.
• Residential Events: To plan, delivery and lead residential events for children.
• Pastoral Care: To offer support and pastoral care to families.
