Outdoor Education Manager at Carroty Wood

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including some evening and weekend work)

Salary: £29,765 + £3,000 non-pensionable South East Weighting Allowance, plus pension (8% employer contributions) and relocation package

Contract Term: Permanent subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and a 6-month probationary period

We have an exciting opportunity for an Outdoor Education Manager to lead, motivate and develop a team of high quality instructors and trainees and develop the educational standards of our activity provision whilst ensuring industry best-practice and excellence in activity training and delivery. As a key member of the Centre Leadership Team, you will be able to clearly communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff and guests.

You will need to have experience of leadership in the outdoors and motivating a staff team as well as strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.  Some outdoor leadership qualifications would be desirable and the successful candidate will be committed to achieving specified outdoor National Governing Body qualifications within a 4 year period with Rock UK’s support.
