Mission Aviation Fellowship UK
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a not-for-profit, Christian organisation whose mission is to fly light aircraft to transform the lives of the world's most isolated people in need. Every six minutes a MAF aircraft is taking off or landing somewhere in the world to assist missions, churches, aid and development agencies and other national groups to share the love of God.
Founded over 75 years ago when a group of Christian Second World War pilots and engineers started using their skills to bring the transformational love of Jesus Christ to remote locations, MAF now operates 120 aircraft and flies to more than 1,000 otherwise inaccessible and commercially unviable destinations.
For these communities, the arrival of one of our small aircraft, symbolises help, hope and healing. They bring key workers from over 1,400 partner organisations or vaccinations, food, school books, mosquito nets, building materials, Bibles translated into the local language or the best chance of reaching urgent medical attention. Over time, an air route can open up not just the immediate community but a whole district to new possibilities in health, education and trade.
With climate change and conflict making more regions inaccessible by land, MAF UK now seeks a CEO to bring a step change in raising the prayer, people and pounds which enable more of our vital work. Overseeing a talented and committed team of 56 staff, together, you will bring experience of senior leadership, building and coaching teams so that they are agile, resilient and pioneering as well as outstanding relationship building qualities. This will be complemented by a mature Christian faith and a passion to see isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name.
If this sounds like you we would love to hear from you. To that end, including details of how to apply, please find more details in the job pack attached. Closing date 28 October.
Please note that this role has an Occupational Requirement to be a committed Christian as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.
