Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions

ACC was founded in 1992 to improve the standards of counselling being provided by Christians through training, establishing a Code of Ethics and Practice and working with counsellors to develop good practice. Over 30 years it has continued to work in this way providing training, advice and support and minting and improving standards in counselling. It now has nearly 1,000 individual counsellors working across the UK in a variety of settings and approximately 80 affiliated organisations, which provide training and counselling agency services.

ACC holds a Professional Standards accredited register of counsellors and psychotherapists

It also has a pastoral care membership which equips, trains and supports  Christians (individuals and organisations) involved in pastoral care through membership, training resources and advice.

ACC is non-denominational and always seeks to work collaboratively within the Christian and professional counselling world.
