Magara Law is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our firm. Full training will be given in relation to our practices, procedures and systems.
The role is home-based, and you will be provided with all the necessary IT and equipment to fulfil it.
This is a full-time - Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 5:30.
Salary: £22,500 per annum.

About you
We are looking for someone who is positive, with a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work, at times, under pressure. The applicant should:
- Be trustworthy, independent and courteous
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have good attention to detail
- Be IT literate including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems
Skills/Experience
- Experience in Employment law is desirable although not essential
- Ability to prioritise work, function efficiently under pressure and remain calm and professional
- Ability to work to set deadlines and produce accurate work
- Ability and desire to deliver exceptional customer service
- IT literate
- To undertake legal and general administrative support duties;
Duties include:
- To act as the first point of contact for enquiries to legal services including answering telephone calls, emails and written enquiries
- Drafting communications to clients
- Conflict, ID and AML checks
- Opening new files
- Audio typing
- Creating tribunal bundles
- Billing
- Liaising with team to manage enquiries and workflow to ensure comprehensive service to clients
- Drafting articles, blogs and posting on social media on behalf of the firm
