To initiate and lead a ‘Children and Youth Transitions Outreach’ programme, connected with New Worshipping Communities in the Encounter project, in collaboration with local parishes and schools and the Resource Church at Joiner’s Square, supporting all the Encounter satellites in using social media as a tool for mission and discipleship.
To oversee a part of the children and youth work, both in schools and NWCs, that focuses on the transitional years between primary and secondary education enabling the young people to continue their faith journey.
This role will fit within the structure of New Worshipping Communities focusing on:
- Journeying with young people as they make the move from primary to secondary education
- Continuing to bridge the gap between the young people and the NWCs
- Creating opportunities for discipleship with the young people both within and outside of the NWC
- Grow Young Leaders within the education and NWC settings
- Ensure that the voice of the young people is heard within the NWC
- Develop and support new volunteer leaders and teams
- Support the NWCs in effectively using social media as a tool for discipleship and mission.
