Lee Abbey London is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our team. You will oversee the efficient running of our Housekeeping Team who provide excellent hospitality and service to our international student residents. We're looking for a candidate who has a servant’s heart and is flexible, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As Housekeeper you will be highly organized, assertive and willing to work alongside your team and lead by example. You will need to be comfortable working in a multicultural environment, supporting your diverse team in their duties as well as pastorally. You will demonstrate time management experience and the ability to multi-task and manage a variety of daily activities.
Salary: £15,984 plus accommodation, meals and utilities (equivalent value of £30,000pa). Due to accommodation limitations, priority will be given to single applicants.
Top Responsibilities:
You will have a keen eye for detail, customer service, health and safety and a track record of developing both your team and processes. You will be responsible for the cleaning of all public areas of the building, preparing bedrooms for new guests, breakfast service, COSHH, risk assessments, managing budgets responsibly and managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.
You will need strong planning and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. As a member of the management team, you will provide leadership and be responsible for ensuring a clean, welcoming and friendly environment for all guests.
You’ll have a keen eye for detail and a tenacity to “get the job done” while providing the best possible customer experience and ensuring timely and professional support is provided to guests and colleagues.
Your approach to work will exemplify strong self-management, demonstrating a high level of credibility and integrity with the ability to perform under pressure.
The role will report to the Director. You will supervise the Deputy Housekeeping Manager and the housekeeping team.

This is a leadership position within the Christian community at Lee Abbey London. It is a genuine occupational requirement that you be a practicing Christian with evidence of a living faith and involvement in a local Church. The role will include Christian pastoral care and mentoring of members of the Lee Abbey London community as well as active participation in our daily worship and Christian outreach.
