The King's Church’s purpose is to:  Ignite Faith, be a voice of Hope, and share the Love of Jesus in the heart of Portsmouth and beyond. We are blessed with a generous building in the inner-city area of Somers Town, a community in which we’ve loved and served for many years. We're part of Assemblies of God UK (AoG) and have prepared a King’s Church profile to give you an overview of our church community. 


Purpose and Summary

We are looking for someone to bring leadership into the life and direction of the church, outworking the mission, vision and values of King’s Church, with a love for pastoring people and a heart for our HOPE ministries, including Foodbank Portsmouth.   

This exciting opportunity will suit someone with energy and ability to progress the work - offering pastoral leadership to the King’s Church Portsmouth congregation, and developing and empowering teams to  impact the Somers Town community  and city of Portsmouth with the life changing good news of Jesus.  You will be in agreement with the AOG statement of faith. Location: King’s Church Portsmouth, Somers Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO5 4QA

Experience Required: The call of God to pastoral ministry, visionary leadership and pioneering outlook, senior church leadership experience, ability to develop and work within team ministry.

Experience Preferred: Recognised training in theology, Ministerial status with AOG or equivalent. 

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours pw over 5-6 days

Salary: in the region of £30,810 pa  - £32,038 pa depending on experience.
