Our events programme has grown in recent years and is highly valued by attendees. We are seeking someone to work in our team to continuing to grow this key area of our service as we seek to expand our events regionally.
The Grace Baptist Association (formerly known as the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East)) is a network of around 100 independent Grace Baptist Churches. The charity employes a small staff team to provide practical and financial advice for our member churches.
Job Description
As part of a small team, the Administrator has the opportunity to support the work of the Association and linked charities to help a growing network of Grace Baptist churches in Southern England. The Administrator has a particular focus on Association events and communications.
The Person Appointed will:
- Be well organised, self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team
- Have clear written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a good attention to quality and detail.
- Have good numeracy.
- Be experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Be willing to learn basic graphics and publication design software if they do not already have experience in this area.
- Be able to handle confidential issues discretely.
It is essential that the appointee is a reformed evangelical Christian. It is desirable that they understand Baptist theology and it would be an advantage to be a member of one of our Association churches.
The role covers 7 essential key areas and 3 desirable areas.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS NEEDED

- Good Microsoft Office IT skills including Word & Excel.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience with basic design software such as Canva.
- Experience working with publishing software such as Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign or similar.
- Experience of generating and posting Social Media content for an organisation.
Location:
Based at the Association offices at 62 Bride Street, London, N7 8AZ. There is a need to travel to some Association events and churches. There is also a willingness to consider and facilitate some home working.
Hours:
35 hours per week with core hours being 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Part-time working may be considered. Occasional overtime will be required sometimes during the evenings and weekends especially, but not exclusively for attendance at Association events. Time off in lieu is given as compensation for attending such events where they fall outside of normal working hours.
Annual Leave:
33 days per annum including Bank Holidays.
Salary:
£28,860 - £36,300 per annum dependent on experience. A loan is available for annual season tickets together with a cycle to work scheme. A salary sacrifice scheme is available upon request.
Expenses:
You will be reimbursed for reasonable travel and expenses which you may incur in the discharge of your duties.
Pension:
7.5% Employers Pension contribution.
