About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to lead our UK Sales, Events, and Customer Service teams. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Co-CEO, focused on increasing sales, ensuring appropriate representation at key events and maintaining our excellent customer service. 

Key Responsibilities 

Sales & Partnerships 

  • Oversee UK sales channels including key online retailers (such as Eden and 10ofthose), bookshops, and ministries. 
  • Provide leadership and line management to the UK Sales and Events Manager, ensuring strong support, professional development, and successful delivery of sales goals. 
  • Manage and develop the UK Amazon account. 
  • Expand the reach and impact of the Church Accounts programme. 
  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of our Curated Retail Collection, leading title selection, performance evaluation, and publisher engagement to ensure alignment with our mission and commercial goals. 

Events 

  • Contribute to the events strategy, collaborating with the Sales and Events Manager. 
  • Ensure effective promotion, and high-impact presence at events through effective planning and team and volunteer coordination. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure post-event follow-up with leads, including email campaigns or personal contact to drive sales and deepen relationships. 

Customer Service

  • Line-manage the Customer Service Manager ensuring effective support, development, and consistent delivery of outstanding customer service.
  • Strengthen integration between Sales and Customer Service to ensure consistent and relational engagement with customers across all channels.
  • Develop feedback loops that turn customer insight into actionable improvements.
  • Oversee the development and effective usage of our CRM system, ensuring it supports proactive service, retention, and sales opportunities. 

Internal Collaboration & Analysis

  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, event outcomes, and customer feedback to inform internal planning.
  • Assist in the forecasting and stock planning process, particularly around key events and product launches.
  • Contribute to product launch strategies, especially where new titles align with church ministry needs or event themes.
  • Work closely with Editorial, Marketing, and International Sales teams to ensure a coordinated approach to global ministry and product reach.

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in at least two of the following areas: sales, events management or customer service.
  • Strong relational and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend events, including occasional commitments outside of standard working hours.
  • In full agreement with, or in clear sympathy with, our Statement of Faith.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with the UK Christian publishing or retail landscape.
  • Experience leading a team and managing budgets.
  • Understanding of church dynamics and ministry structures.
