Derbyshire Rural Chaplaincy (DRC) is an ecumenical chaplaincy covering Derbyshire.
We are recruiting an ordained lead chaplain who will build on our long-established rural mission and ministry. DRC enjoys a good reputation through working closely with the rural church and local agricultural communities.
The successful candidate will have a passion to:
- Provide Christian spiritual and pastoral support for the agricultural and rural communities in Derbyshire
- Coordinate the DRC team of three chaplains and line manage the administrator, providing supervision and support as required
- Lead acts of worship during key agricultural times and seasons such as Plough Sunday, Rogation, Harvest and Christmas
- Conduct occasional offices by invitation of the rural church
- Work in partnership with local and national agricultural support agencies
- Manage training opportunities for ordinands and those on ministry pathways wishing to learn more about farming and rural life
We are offering a salary of £35,000 (for 32 hours) plus pension, mileage allowance & expenses
