Academy Chaplain (Alternative Provision)

We are looking to appoint an alternative provision specialist worker to work within our School Chaplaincy team. This role will be based within The Raedwald Trust, working across sites in Ipswich, and sometimes further afield in Suffolk. The successful applicant will be developing this existing role in partnership with the pastoral management teams within the Trust and building on the excellent work started in the school during the last year. The successful candidate will also work in collaboration with another School Chaplain from our team.

The role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian. 

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (41 weeks per year) - working days will be agreed with the school before the role commences, but likely to be three fixed days per week.

Details: Role to commence as soon as possible after the Easter holidays in 2026, lasting initially for two academic years. 

Benefits: This is a term-time role, so the appointed employee will have school holidays + bank holidays and a contributory pension scheme.
