Reports to: Leadership Team Member

Are you passionate about inspiring and empowering young people in their faith journey?

The Church at Junction 10 is seeking a dynamic, relational, and visionary Youth Ministry Pastor to lead and grow our vibrant youth community. For over three decades, we’ve been committed to building a community with Jesus at the centre, offering relevant teaching, heartfelt worship, honest friendships, and compassionate care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and Mentor: Guide and support youth (ages 11–18) in their spiritual growth, providing pastoral care and creating a culture where every young person feels valued and called by God.
  • Develop Programmes: Design and deliver engaging youth ministry programmes, including Bible studies, retreats, away days, and community service projects.
  • Organise Events: Plan and run exciting youth events—clubs, retreats, training, fundraising, and social gatherings—to foster connection and growth.
  • Empower Volunteers: Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of volunteers and interns, ensuring effective and sustainable ministry.
  • Engage the Community: Build relationships with local schools and organisations, creating outreach opportunities and attracting new youth members.
  • Communicate Effectively: Keep youth and families informed and engaged through newsletters, emails, and social media.
  • Champion Safeguarding: Work alongside our Safeguarding Lead to ensure the safety and well-being of all youth and volunteers.

Collaborate: Partner with church leaders, parents, and external stakeholders to align youth programmes with our church’s mission and vision.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A committed Christian with a vibrant personal faith and experience of church life.
  • Relevant qualification in youth or community work.
  • Experience working with youth (paid or voluntary), including practical evangelism or outreach.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to relate to and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and independently, with a heart for discipleship.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a supportive, passionate team making a real difference in young lives.
  • Flexible, hybrid working options.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Lead a thriving youth group and shape the future of youth ministry in our church.

The Church at Junction 10 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This post is subject to an Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the post-holder is a practising Christian. This is because the role involves leading and delivering Christian teaching, discipling children in the Christian faith, and upholding and representing the Christian ethos of The Church at Junction 10. The requirement is therefore essential and proportionate to the nature and context of the role.
