Bearfield Church is seeking a Family and Community Worker. The purpose of this exciting new post is to pioneer, develop and lead the delivery of the outreach work of Bearfield Church in the local community.
About the Role
The Family and Community Worker will enable the church’s mission amongst, and discipleship of families, through leadership, encouragement and direct work with a variety of groups within and outside Bearfield.
About You
The successful applicant will be a committed Christian, have vision and passion, be a great communicator and a self-starter, with experience of working with young people, children and families.
What we offer
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 FTE (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours a week which may involve weekends, evenings and some school holidays (please note we are open to consider part time or semi-term time contracts.)
Duration: Initial 3-year fixed term contract
Closing Date: Friday 28th November 2025
Interview date: w/c 8th December (TBC)
There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR) under the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be a Christian. Appointment will only be made upon receipt of satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
