37 ½ hours per week – Split Shift

We are offering a great opportunity for someone to join our team as the cook, helping to prepare and serve food for our guests and team. We are looking for someone who loves cooking and is able to cater for groups of up to 60 people, is flexible and willing to work hard to maintain high standards within the catering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensuring high standards of catering alongside quality and portion control for guests and staff.
• To help receive orders and with stock rotation.
• To maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness and food hygiene.
• To ensure that the kitchen, dining rooms, stores and wash up areas are kept clean and tidy (working with other members of the team)
• To keep up to date with current legislation, paperwork and record keeping associated with catering.

Hours

5 days a week – usually Mon-Fri – Some weekends may be required. 

A split shift would be 7.30am – 12.30pm & 4.30-7pm

Accommodation

We would be able to offer onsite accommodation for single applicants between 20-30yrs.  

Holidays

Holiday entitlement of 28 days inclusive of any public/bank holidays which you may choose to request.  Entitlements are pro-rata for part-time employees.  In your first holiday year your entitlement will be proportionate to the amount of time left in the holiday year. 

After 2 years’ service you will be entitled to two additional day’s annual leave.  After 4 years’ service you will be entitled to one additional day’s annual leave.  After 5 years’ service you will be entitled to one additional day’s annual leave.  Entitlements are pro-rata for part-time employees.
