Christian Evangelist (Rochdale, FT or PT)

Antioch Network Manchester

The successful candidate will be employed by Antioch Network Manchester as an evangelist to work with our diverse churches, especially in Rochdale and possibly Oldham.

You will serve in the following roles:

1) Evangelism

You will work with the Antioch diverse church leaders in designing activities, events and outreach strategies appropriate for each agreed location.

This will include working with our GNCC team to connect with new people across the town, and to present the Gospel in relevant ways. Examples could include events at GNCC’s new ministry base in Rochdale, periodical events, courses for people exploring the Christian faith, outdoor book table evangelism and sports ministry.

This role may also involve similar activities elsewhere in the Diocese, by agreement with the line manager.

2) Teaching

You are expected to play a part in teaching the Bible, especially at GNCC Rochdale, and other Antioch churches as required explaining basic Christian truths.  This might include baptism preparation.  You may be required to use and develop materials for people to deepen their understanding of the Bible, and of Christian teaching. This would be done alongside the diverse church leaders.

3) Pastoring

You may be required by your church leader to offer pastoral support for people involved in the life of GNCC and possibly other Network locations. This support would be closely integrated with the hospitality and pastoral structure of the diverse churches.

You may be required to complete additional reasonable duties which Antioch may require.
