Prayer Group Leader

Open Doors believes in the power of prayer to change lives and transform nations. We want to see people of all ages praying for and with the persecuted church, changing history on their knees whilst being personally challenged and inspired.

If you share this vision and could commit to running a prayer group in your church or community, we’d love to hear from you.

What you will be doing:

• Starting a regular prayer group for persecuted Christians
• Encouraging people to join the group and pray individually as well as with each other
• Encouraging your church to pray for the persecuted church during services/meetings.

The skills and characteristics you’ll need:

• A passion for God
• Reliable and organised in corresponding with people by phone, email or letter.
• Good communication skills and the ability to motivate people to pray.

What we’ll give you

We are committed to increasing and investing in our prayer groups so that persecuted Christians around the world can be covered in constant prayer. You’ll be supported by a member of staff, and we’ll provide all the resources you need to help fuel your prayer times, including a regular Prayer Diary with daily prayer points and Prayer News videos featuring real-life stories.

As a Prayer Group Leader, you’ll also be able to join the ONE Church programme. This offers direct access to our field teams, as well as stories and content which cannot be shared publicly.
