Children & Youth Team Leader
St John's Owlerton
This is an opportunity to join the Diocese of Sheffield’s exciting initiative, The Centenary Project, as a Children and Youth Team Leader, employed at St John’s Church, Owlerton in Sheffield.
We are looking for a committed Christian with experience in working with Children and Youth to join our ministry team. The post-holder will develop and co-ordinate this ministry at St John’s, helping us to be welcoming and make connections with the wider community.
General responsibilities: –
- To co-ordinate the children and Youth ministry at St John’s Owlerton, developing new opportunities for families to engage with the church.
- To recruit, train and equip a team of volunteers to support the work with children and youth.
- To be a member of the Centenary Project Network.
Given the nature and context of the work it is an occupational requirement that the post holder should be a communicant member of the Church of England or a full member of a church within Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
Contract: 3 years initially
